Students drew the name of an Iditarod musher and followed the progress each day, checking on the website right after coming in from each recess and moving the place markers around.  Students also did "Iditarod Math" and "Iditarod Language" each day of the race.  At the end of the race, students will share the Iditarod purse, paid in our classroom dollars called "Kokanee Kash."  Several disappointed students whose musher had to scratch, felt badly, just as their musher surely did.   It was a great adventure, one which won't be forgotten soon.
